What do you mean, what do I mean?

I have an idea, tell me what you think
It is madness you might say, I am on the brink
Have taken to the sauce, heavily started to drink
My thought process you will say, has started to shrink
How far could I fall, how low could I sink

Before you say "you have lost your mind", give it a listen
Try and understand my point of view
In the end I promise, you will laugh and glisten
Though at first you may think, I have not a clue

Here goes nothing.....

Why don't you and I "FALL IN HATE"
Wait, wait, wait, hey, hey, you said you would wait
Hear me out, before you throw that plate
I have thought about this, this idea is great
Put down that shoe, don't be irate

On the news they said, over fifty percent
Of all couples descent
In a very short time, they no longer consent
Can't stand each other, they become hell bent
On tormenting each other, and never repent

Love turns into hate, and each goes their way
Both curse at each other, night and day
Not one good thing do they have to say
Two days of bliss and they stray
Blue skies suddenly turn to gray

So if we "fall in hate", my thinking is this
After two days, we will start to miss
And yearn with passion for each other's kiss
Forever and ever, reside in bliss
And never have to face the abyss

What do you think of this idea of mine
Is it not a grand design?
What are you doing with that bottle of wine?
Wait, wait, wait, hey, hey, this is no time to dine
Hold on, wait, wait, oohhhh, this poor head of mine

OK........we'll do it the old fashioned way.......

Change not

True presentment make, you will
This I know, for I have seen you
Seen you up close, seen you from afar
Never was there a time
When you were untrue to yourself
You have never been untrue to others
A virtue so rare to find, I have no words...

You will pass every test, overcome all obstacles
Of this I am certain beyond every doubt
Because you refuse to compromise
Your principles
I am proud of you more than
You will ever know
More than I could ever show...

Just know this much
I have faith in you
More than you have in yourself
For I know the heart that beats inside you
It is as pure as pure can be
True presentment you will make
In everything you do in life...

Perhaps, by chance, maybe

"Love", so much is written about "Love"...
And there are so many times, it is anything but...

People put on a show and hope the world understands...
Countless times they will say...
"I love him", "I love her"...
When in fact, they can't stand the sight of each other...
Or a million other things about each other...

There are times when people say...
"I love you", and the reply is...
"I love you too"...
All the while being unfaithful and what not to each other...
In more ways than one...

Now a days the best way to sort through the maze is...
Not to ask "do you love him?", "do you love her?"...
But to ask "does he love you?", "does she love you?"...
And then just look in their eyes as they respond...

The answer will be known before they say a single word...
The look on their face will give them away...
And there will be no need for them to respond...

So my friends, ask not...
"Do you love him?", "do you love her?"...
Ask...
"Does he love you?", "does she love you?"...

Attitude

Why do they play this game, which has no name...
Is it for applause, or just because...
They choose an excuse...

When they know full well, yet never dwell...
What would they gain, why so vain...
Oh those very few, if they only knew...

But they are out of touch, it's just a crutch...
They will never know, our plateau...
Where we are or how far...

From their petty way, the game they play...
Wish them the best on their quest...
May they keep their all, staying small...

Perfect pair

So we had a fight
There were words to say
One was wrong, one right
Or was it the other way.......

Emotions took the best of us
It went on, till the break of dawn
We hurt each other, we made a fuss
Towards anger, ire, we were drawn.......

Two passionate beings, two worlds collide
The venom spewed, in each direction
Words were daggers, no place to hide
Hearts were broken, to perfection.......

Time then came, to say the word
To do away with foolish pride
Hard, it is to say, is it not absurd
"Sorry", from both ends, both broke down and cried.......

Stronger we are now, both of us knowing
It brought us closer, than we were before

Ever and ever, forever more.......
